Blakes Polygloss is a two pack polyurethane topcoat, giving a high gloss finish which is extremely durable and resistant to UV degradation and abrasion. It is well known for its ease of use and high performance properties. For use above the waterline.

Preparation & Applications:

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, oil free and dry.
  
• Clean with Degreaser or Surface Cleaner.
• Stir all products well before use.
• If overcoating times are exceeded, abrade the surface and wash off with fresh water.
  

On a previously coated surface:

1. Abrade to remove any loose matter and to provide a suitable key.
2. Wash surface with fresh water and allow to dry.
3. Undercoat where necessary, then apply 1 or 2 coats of Polygloss.

On a previously uncoated surface:

1. Prime with an appropriate primer (Glassfibre - no primer necessary, wood and metal - Epoxy Primer Undercoat).
2. Undercoat with recommended colour of Epoxy Primer Undercoat.
3. Then apply two coats of Polygloss.
4. Thinners can be added to assist application under certain conditions.

Mixing:

1. Mix ratio is 2 parts base to 1 part curing agent by volume.
2. Thoroughly mix the base, add the curing agent and stir well.
3. For best results allow mixed paint to rest for several minutes before use to allow air bubbles to escape.

Application method: Brush/ Roller/ Pad/ Spray
Thinners & Tool Cleaner: Thinners No.2 (brush/ roller/ pad) up to 10%. Thinners No.6 (spray) up to 25%.
Coverage: 13m²/ 1L
Minimum application temperature: 5ºC- 40ºC
Pot Life: 5 hours for brushing/ 2 hours for spraying
