Glass Surfacing Tissue

This material is similar in appearance to tissue paper and has two main functions. It can be used behind a gel-coat before applying layers of chopped strand mat. The purpose in this instance is to hide the fibrous pattern of the chopped strand mat which occasionally can be seen through a thinly applied gel-coat. It can also be used after the final layer of chopped strand mat has been applied. where its finer texture will improve the rather coarse fibre pattern left by chopped strand mat. Carefully roll this final layer into the still wet resin and then dab down any loose fibres with a brush.
