Description
The Baltic Sea and Approaches is now into it's 4th edition. Produced by the Royal Cruising Club there are many differences to the previous issue. Aside from the standard update to the text, there are many newly drawn plans for this edition, as well as new photographs. Featuring a reorganised coverage of Finland showing the amount of change since the previous edition, the Baltic States and Poland sections are vastly improved.
There are nine countries that border the Baltic Sea providing a vast variety of cruising areas, people and cultures. With thousands of harbours and an unfathomable amount of anchorages, unfortunately they can't all be covered. Focusing on the planning stages such as preparations to the yacht, picking your route, communications etc, this is then followed by a general overview of the country, leading into more specific harbour information. In countries where more detailed cruising information is readily available, only some harbours are covered that cover several key needs. In countries where this information becomes more limited there are more smaller harbours shown in detail. Included in this book there are many suggestions for further reading, as well as listings of over 200 websites, all carefully chosen to compliment the planning stages and support your travel on route. To assist your use of these websites, internet access points are also included for the major harbours.
A fantastic selection of secluded anchorages, beautiful canals, busy marinas and beautiful cities, everything you need to start planning your cruise.
