On contact with water the LCD and keys on the front backlight along with a red LED at the rear which begins to flash and; helps location in dim light, and an alarm sounds to alert you to the fact that the device has foverboard. Further features include the AquaQuake draining function, a long-life, lithium-ion battery and simple USB charging. An optional speaker microphone is available separately.
