These Nauticalia Fitzroy instruments have brass cases and they are super durable, with a tarnish free coating, an alloy of copper and zinc making it easy to work with and can be polished to a gleam shine, corrosion resistance making it the traditional choice of metal for use in harsh environments, Fitzroy instruments also come with a quick fix system which means the instrument can be locked hard to the bulkhead or wall but it can be removed by hand in seconds, the instruments then slot over the base plate with a gentle twist to lock in place, a reverse removes it, making battery change a very quick and easy fix with no damage to the brass case, the quick fix also acts to seal the clock mechanisms making them waterproof
