Description
In the days of sail, orders aboard ship were piped on the Bosun's Call, whose high-pitched whistle could be heard against the strongest wind.
The Regulation Call (NT2101), is still made for the world's navies and training cadets who keep traditions alive, mainly using the calls on ceremonial occasions. It is made of brass and copper with hard-wearing electro-plated nickel finish.
The presentation and trophy versions (NT2131, NT2121 and NT2111) are gold or silver-plated, or simply polished brass and copper.
All Calls are 121mm (4.5" ) long, with matching 127mm (50 ) neck chain. fitted with a swivel snap-hook.
They are supplied in a presentation box, instruction leaflet and history.
