1.1/2" Handle for Blakes Seacocks The body and plug are made of DZR1 (BSEN 1982 CC752C). A dezincification resistant brass for die casting.
Zinc can be leached from brass by the action of sea waters galvanic action, the brass will become porous and eventualy fail, if a brass fitting is looking pink then it is time to change. DZR1 resists the zinc removal and is approved by Lloyds for use in a marine environment.
The seacock bolts are manufactured from phosphor bronze.
