The Ergofit Plus life jacket has the first spray hood system that works with the shape of the inflated bladder to reduce the risk of water inhalation as well as heat loss, achieved through the improved bladder and spray hood compatibility combined with the new double halo hood construction. The hood is completely self-supporting when unfolded, creating a spacious cavity in the wearer's face. The hood has an inner panel that protects the wearer from spray and also acts as an anti-glare panel. Always a step above the rest, the air bag's tailored shape uniquely distributes buoyancy around the wearer for maximum water support and airway protection, even with heavy clothing. The Crewsaver Ergofit is designed to allow the wearer to turn in less than 3 seconds to increase the distance between the waterline and the airway. The shoulders have a sculpted shape that provides enhanced water mobility and allows the wearer to self-help. Ergofit Plus 290n also features a new slim buckle design. This quick release buckle makes the life jacket easier to don and allows the use of a single loop attachment point for tethering. Technological collaboration between Crewsaver innovations and that of its new partner Exposure, is evident in the Ergofit plus, the Exposure OLAS Tag, a portable crew tracking and overboard location alert system that can be easily integrated into the life jacket.
