ErgoFit+ 290N life jacket range has been designed for use by those who work on the water in the toughest marine conditions or for serious ocean sailors who are looking for the highest level of performance and protection available.
A new, slimline, quick-lock buckle system also features on the 290+ making the life jacket easy to don whilst a single loop harness attachment point makes for easy tethering of a safety line if desired.
The design of the bladder makes for a fast righting speed less than two seconds, even when wearing heavy clothing and will supports the wearer with the mouth well above the water and the airways clear with a built in chin support. The shape of the shoulders allows sufficient freedom of movement for the wearer to help themselves turn for recovery. A harness point, crotch strap, life jacket light and hood fitted as standard. All life jackets can be inflated manually and have oral tubes for additional air.
Automatic or Manual inflation?
The automatic inflation model will automatically inflate within 5 seconds of the capsule being immersed in water. The Hammar model has a Hammar inflation mechanism that operates only when submerged in 20 cms of salt or fresh water, resulting in less chance of accidental inflation by splashing in extreme conditions.
