ErgoFit 290N Extreme life jacket range. Based on Crewsaver's highest performing 290N Ocean life jacket The ErgoFit 290 Extreme has very little bulk, moulds to the body for a comfortable fit and has superior buoyancy with exceptionally fast roghting capabilities. It is designed to sit away from the neck making it comfortable. The Extreme 290 has the addition of a dual buckle system and side waist adjusters that ensure swift donning and a robust 500D heavy duty nylon cover making it the hoice for those working in extreme weather conditions and crossing oceans. Custom crew numbering is also available with this model.
Once inflated, the unique bladder allows free movement of arms a rapid righting speed of less than three seconds regardless of clothing worn. A peninsular chin support keeps the mouth out of the water and airways clear. There is a soft loop harness attachment point for a safety line, is desired.
Automatic or Hammar inflation?
The Ergofit 290N Extreme Automatic model has an automatic inflation mechanism firing immediately the capsule is immersed. The Ergofit 290N Hammar model has a Hammar inflation mechanism that operates only when submerged in 20 cms of salt or fresh water, resulting in less chance of accidental inflation by splashing in extreme conditions.
