Description
Rocker Stoppers, from Davis Instruments, are a simple, quick and very effective way of reducing the unwanted rocking motion of boats at anchor. They will help stabilize a pontoon and can even be used to slow the speed of a boat if drifting. Looking a little like a sombrero, they are tied along a rope and weighted, before being lowered overboard on both sides of the boat. They are lightweight, yet virtually indestructible and will stack together to take up minimal space when not in use. To use, simply tie the Rocker stoppers along a rope approximately 44cms/18 inches apart, making a string of them, and attach a 5-10lb weight at the bottom. Hang one string each side of the boat making sure they are hung where they will be always be underwater. The amount of Rocker Stoppers units needed depends on the size of the boat but just four units per side are adequate on most boats to 36' (please see download for more information).
