57mm ratchamatic single x2 grip HTE block with swivel. low friction Carbo air blocks are a lightweight, strong and reliable block with a very high working load for safer and easier trimming. The open design and reinforced composite construction keeps weight to a minimum for a powerful performance. UV stabilised ball bearings, sheave and side-plates enhance durability. The ratchet mechanism switches seamlessly from free running to ratchet mode, ideal for fast run out and jibing when not weight bearing. The spring on the HTE or high threshold engage version of Harkens ratchamatic blocks has been made stiffer to delay the point where the ratchet engages, allowing the block to run free more of the time, the ratchet engaging at higher loads allowing the old kite sheet to run free for crisper gybing.
This 2x grip version is ideal for big breeze/steady going with a holding power of 20:1. A Standard version (for medium/light air - part 2625.HTE)and 1.5x version (for breeze-on/puffs - part no. 2165.HTE) are also available.
