Description
Houdini have been building quality hatches for many years. They re commonly fitted to many UK built boats, being rugged, reliable and well made. They have a considerable cost advantage over their competitors and are made with a window of toughened glass, which will not scratch easily or UV degrade unlike acrylic, fitted in many popular hatches. The frame is made of anodised aluminium as standard but other finishes are available such as gold or black anodised.
All hatches must be fitted to a flat surface and bedded down on a good quality non-setting mastic. The outer flange is drilled and countersunk for no.8 self-tapping screws or M5 machine screws. Inner backing trim Inner backing trim for the deckhead is not necessarily required if the hatch can be screwed securely into the deck. If an inner backing trim is used there are three types available.
Hatch sizes and specification - see photo top left.
