EVO Self-Tailing Winch 30ST chrome Bronze
The EVO range of winches incorporates state of the art technology and design aesthetics gained by Lewmar's many years of experience in winch design and manufacture. As an evolution of the renowned Ocean Winch, the EVO offers maximum efficiency, durability and strength to weight ratio. With sizes from the smaller 15ST, a one gear winch with a ratio of 2:1, to the larger two-speed models up to the 80ST, the EVO range offers versatility and style. Features includes an adjustable investment-cast stainless steel feeder which covers the whole top of the winch and keeps the rope from straying from the wave spring jaws, the option to convert to electric with a Conversion Kit (size 40 and above), user friendly direction arrows and a lengthy 7 year guarantee. All sizes are available in a choice of three finishes; Black Alloy, Grey Alloy and Chromed Bronze.
Servicing is easy. The top cap of the winch can be unscrewed by hand to remove the drum and provide access to the gear train. When installing, recommend that the winch is mounted on a flat surface with the rope entering the drum at an angle of 5-10 degrees to the base axis of the winch (see diagram). A base wedge can be use to achieve this if necessary.
