Instructions
Applying vinyl letters is a straightforward process, but it requires care to ensure that the letters are applied accurately.
To apply vinyl you'll need:
A credit card or similar hard plastic.
Masking tape.
Ruler.
A detergent solution.
Clean and dry the surface thourougly, remove any dirt, grease, or residue. Ensure the surface is dry completely.
Use the masking tape to create a guide for positioning the letters. Line up the letters on the surface using a ruler to ensure that they are where you want them.
Peel the backing paper away from the vinyl letters, exposing the adhesive side. Try not to touch the glue with your fingers, avoiding fingerprints or oils on the letters, disposable gloves would be handy!. Place the letters on the surface, using the guide made with the tape.
Use the credit card to smooth the letters onto the surface, from the middle and working outward towards the edges. Apply pressure evenly, making sure that the letters stick properly and there are no air bubbles trapped.
Check the letters for bubbles or imperfections. If there are any bubbles, use a pin to puncture and smooth them out with the plastic card.
