Description
During the 1920s, the ACME No. 470 Clicker, also known as the 'Cricket', was created as a device to keep time for musicians. However, it was later adopted by US paratroopers in 1944 as a means of discretely identifying friendly forces after landing behind enemy lines during the night. Before the D-Day invasion, 7,000 Clickers were supplied to the troops, but only a few remain today and are considered to be expensive antiques. Our authentic replica is made in the UK by the same company that produced the original Clickers in 1944, using the same tooling and machines. The quality is exceptional, and it is nearly impossible to distinguish it from the originals. These Clickers are now commonly used as a dog training aid. The product comes with a cardboard box similar to the ones used during wartime and a certificate of authenticity.
