The Icom M330GE Fixed VHF DSC Radio is one of the smallest fixed VHF and DSC units in the world. The front fascia is so compact it is the size of a modern smartphone, making it easy to fit in even the most compact of spaces. Don't be fooled by it's small size, it's still packed with features to be expected in any Icom radio.

Ultra compact, it features flexible installation and measures 156.5mm width, 66.5mm height and 110.1mm depth making it ideal for where space is at a premium. Despite it being smaller, it still features an intuitive user interface as expected from Icom. The directional keypad and soft keys enable simple operation, whilst the regularly used functions are via soft keys for quick, clear one button push accessibility. Constructed with a freshly designed speaker, it delivers distortion free and brilliantly clear audio even when set at the highest volume, whilst the receiver works hard to give reliable communications in even the busiest radio environments.

Complete with DSC function, it continually monitors Channel 70, even whilst you may be receiving on another channel. The DSC features distress calling at the touch of a button, as well as individual, group, all ships, urgency, safety, position request and report, polling request and DSC test calls. Connected to the built in GPS receiver and external GPS antenna, to provide your location, bearing and speed utilising GPS, GLONASS and SBAS. All quickly giving your position via DSC. To maximise coverage, an external GPS antenna comes as standard.

The Icom M330GE is the first Icom fixed marine VHF radio that complies with the latest maritime ITU standard ITU-R M493-14 this standard, in essence, requires an external GPS antenna. ITU-R M493-14 will be compulsory from November 2018. All maritime class D fixed radios from all manufacturers will need to comply after this date.
