The Ikaros hand held orange smoke flare is designed for use as a distress signal in daylight. Not only does it pinpoint your location it also indicates the direction of the wind which is invaluable in rescue particularly airborne rescues. Simple to use, with pictorial instructions on the tube, the cap is removed and the ring pulled to deploy the flare which produces a thick orange smoke and burns for up to 60 seconds.
