Description
The Ocean Signal rescueME MOB2 is a compact and lightweight man-overboard (MOB) device that utilizes the Automatic Identification System (AIS) and includes integrated VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) functionality. This device is designed to be fitted into a life jacket and automatically activates when the jacket is inflated; it can also be manually activated if needed. The MOB2 transmits AIS signals for location tracking on AIS-enabled plotters and sends DSC distress alerts to nearby vessels equipped with VHF DSC radios. It features both infrared (IR) and white strobe lights to ensure maximum visibility in all lighting conditions.
Meets the latest European regulations (ECC/DEC/(22)02) for MOB devices.
Approximately 50% smaller than many competing devices, making it easy to integrate into even compact inflatable life jackets.
Automatic Activation.
Utilizes GPS and Galileo for fast and accurate location acquisition.
Dual Strobe Lights.
Integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) allows for smartphone connectivity via the Ocean Signal app for programming and accessing device data (battery life, self-tests, etc.).
Typically offers a 5-year battery life and over 12 hours of operational life.
Waterproof up to 10 meters.
Easy to install within inflatable life jackets using an included clip and ribbon.
LEDs confirm receipt of DSC distress signals.
