Shakespeare Galaxy INFL8 is the first emergency marine VHF antenna with full 3dB performance that can be rapidly deployed via co2 or manual tube with a range of up to three times greater than any existing helical emergency antenna. Inflating to 1.5m or 5' it is also a versatile instant antenna that can be used as a back-up antenna or on kayaks, jet-skis, inflatables and dinghy's. With a variety of mounting options, the Galaxy INFL8 can be simply mounted in any weather with either the hook and loop straps to stanchions, outriggers or other vertical structures, or hung by grommets on spreaders, masts etc. The antenna comes in a bright coloured, easy to find, storage pack that includes a spare CO2 cylinder for repacking and offers a variety of connection options. The pre soldered PL259 is pre-installed for connection to a fixed VHF directly or for use with handhelds there is a SMA adapter supplied. There is also a solder free female UHF connector included which allows the antenna to be spliced into existing RG8x or RG58 coax. cables on the boat.
