Description
The Atlantic Portlight has neat and minimalist styling with both inner and outer frames being fabricated of deep anodised aluminium extrusion for added strength and maximum resistance to corrosion. The outer face has been designed to allow water to drain away even when mounted on an angled coachroof side, thus preventing any water entering the boat when the port-light is opened. The port-light has quick action 316 stainless steel handles that close down onto the seal with just the right amount of pressure and do not vibrate when closed and Lewmar's revolutionary friction hinges that allow a choice of open positions without the use of knobs, stays or straps. All hinges and other moving parts are corrosion free. The Acrylic window, which has been bonded into the alloy frame for added stiffness, comes is Grey as standard with the frame Silver anodised.
All Atlantic Port-lights come supplied with a flyscreen made with a nylon mesh and moulded frame which clips on to the outer frame and can be left in place when the window is closed.
An alloy valance is also included as standard in a choice of two types; a Thin Valance for hulls 8-15mm and Thick Valance for hull 16-24mm thickness
Suitable for fitting to a flat surface with a maximum tolerance of +/- 1mm with fastenings included. Nb: The opening is restricted on thicker hulls - at 24mm hull thickness the opening angle would be 115 degrees.
