The Barton Size 3 range of blocks are strong and lightweight and ideal for use on dinghies and dayboats and light cruising yachts. They are an ideal choice for mainsheet, vang or lead blocks or wherever a powerful and compact purchase tackle is required. The range is available with either a Plain or Ball Bearing assembly and a comprehensive range of cam cleat, fiddle and fiddle with cam versions. Plain Bearing Blocks have a pricision moulded acetal sheave which runs on a large diameter brass bearing ensuring free running even under high loads. Ball Bearing Blocks incorporate Bartons' unique super-low friction race system, with acetal sheaves and delrin ball bearings running on a large diameter centre boss allowing more load bearing balls with low friction performance even under high loads. Size 3 blocks come with either a Fixed Eye, Fixed Eye with Clevis Pin, Swivel head and removable shackle, Stainless Steel Snap shackle which is ideal for quick-release downhauls or vang tackles, or a Variloc Multi Head which allows the swivel to be locked at 30 degree positions to the sheave - inverting the plastic locking piece converts the swivel mode.
