The Barton Size 7 range of high load cruiser blocks are designed for use on large cruising and racing yachts. With a rugged construction, featuring high quality injection moulded side plates through bolted and riveted for added strength and security, all the load carrying components are made of 316 grade stainless steel to produce a good looking and versatile range designed for ease of use with Bartons ball-bearing mainsheet traveller systems. The range is available with either a Plain or Ball Bearing assembly and a comprehensive range of cam cleat, fiddle and fiddle with cam cleat versions. Plain Bearing Blocks have a precision moulded acetal sheave which runs on a large diameter brass bearing ensuring free running even under high loads. Ball Bearing Blocks incorporate Bartons' unique super-low friction race system, with acetal sheaves and delrin ball bearings running on a large diameter centre boss allowing more load bearing balls with low friction performance even under high loads. Size 7 blocks come with a choice of heads and shackle including a Fixed Eye, Swivel head and removable shackle, Stainless Steel Snap shackle which is ideal for quick-release down hauls or vang tackles, or a Variloc Multi Head which allows the swivel to be locked at 30 degree positions to the sheave - inverting the plastic locking piece converts the swivel mode.
